1. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a charge of 50% of the scheduled service price.

  • Clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointment without notice will be billed for the full price of the scheduled service.

We understand that emergencies and illnesses can arise. Last-minute cancellations due to verifiable emergencies, illnesses, or inclement weather may be exempt from charges at the discretion of the practitioner.

2. Late Arrival Policy

  • All appointments will end at the scheduled time to ensure we remain on schedule for other clients.

  • Late arrivals will be charged for the full session but will receive a shortened treatment to respect the time of others.

  • First-time appointments: Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the Client Intake Form.

  • For subsequent appointments: Arrive 5 minutes early to allow time to settle in and ensure a relaxed, unhurried experience.

3. Massage Termination Policy

  • Urban Beauty provides professional massage and bodywork services for therapeutic and relaxation purposes only.

    • The session will be terminated immediately if inappropriate behaviour occurs, including but not limited to:

      • Harassment, threatening speech, or behaviour.

      • Sexual advances or requests.

      • Disrespectful actions or language.

    • Clients under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be treated, and payment for the session will still be required.

4. Draping Policy

  • Clients will remain appropriately draped with a sheet or towel at all times during massage treatments.

  • Only the area being treated will be exposed. The breast and genital areas will always remain covered and are never massaged.

5. General Salon Policies

  • Urban Beauty Colchester operates Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

  • Hours may change during public holidays or special events, and updates will be provided via email and social media 48 hours in advance.

  • Parking: Free for Leisure World patrons—log your stay via the machines in reception.

  • Bicycle barriers and Tier scooters are available at the entrance.

8. Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are available for purchase and valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

  • Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

You may not be a good candidate if:

  • You have blonde, white, or grey hair (laser is less effective on these tones).

Note: You must shave the treatment area prior to the appointment as shaving services are not provided. Inform us of any allergies, such as Aloe.
